The City of Amesbury is conveniently located at the intersection of routes 95 and 495 and is bordered by the towns of Merrimac to the west, Salisbury to the east, Newburyport and West Newbury across the Merrimack River to the south and South Hampton, New Hampshire to the north.

Enjoy the quaint shops and restaurants of downtown Amesbury. There is plenty to do at the many local beaches which are all just a short drive away. Cross the Merrimack River and spend some time in Historic Newburyport.

For those that enjoy the outdoors there is plenty to do. Two of the area’s most popular beaches are just moments away. Hampton and Salisbury beaches offer various events throughout the year. Plum Island and Salisbury Reservation offer great opportunities for nature walks at the oceans edge. If boating, sailing or fishing is your desire, there is plenty of that as well. Don’t like the water? How about a round of golf at the Amesbury Golf and Country Club?

Or you can just stay at your Hatter’s Point home and sit on your balcony while enjoying Mother Nature’s show. Admire the colorful sunrises, see eagles, hawks and other birds of prey soaring, and be on the lookout for seals as they navigate down the river.
